HOW TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL SALESMAN
This is a story of one salesman. After some efforts he gets entry in the cabin of companies senior manager.
As salesman enters in the cabin,the manager said,"your are very much lucky person.Since moring I didn't allow any
salesmen to meet me. I have sent back five salesmens without meeting me". After this salesman answered very
calmly, ' Sir I know that, since moring salesmens which were trying to meet you, are myself only, who was trying agian and agian to meet you'.
The meaning of the story is that you should have a that much diligence to become a successful salesman. These type of salesmans will sale a refrigarator where tempreture is minus degree . To become a successful salesman a above mentioned skill is not enough. You should required many more another things.
SKILL OF SALESMAN
Salesmanship means making a custmer who is just thinking to buy it, to make them ready to buy it.Everybody is a salesman.The surgeon convinces a patient for surgery, the lawyer convinces to his client to appeal in higher court is benificial. Main thing is that a wife is convinces to her husband to buy a dress which she liked or to go to that picnic spot she decided.
All these above mentioned exampales are nothing but , by using a skill of a marketing salesman (who are selling by going door to door or by selling in a shops). The marketing manager medical representative, life insurance agent who wants to make a carrier in marketing is required to do study the marketing policy & strategy.
To become a successful salesman following three points they are required.
1.You should have a impressive personality.
2.You should have a detail knowledge or information of product or service which you are going to sale.
3.You should understand customer's Psychology.
MAGIC EFFECTS
There is no doubt that who are thinkig to make a career in marketing line should have a smiling face and a good health. That dosen't means that like film hero.
Actually your eyes should have telling something, convincing, having a smiling face and their body language should be good and healthy.
All this things impresses customer. The effects of the smiling face are just like a 'MAGIC'.The things seems like " If you smiles world will smile with you. but if you weep, you will live alone".
ABOUT DRESS UP
There are some code made for salesmens dresses. The salesmen or medical representatives should wear coat and tie but in summer how they will wear this type of dresses. If they wear, the people will laugh. So that wear such a dresses which will look good to you, which will make your personality impressive, which will be neat and which will give you your own confidence.
ABOUT SPEECH
Those who want to make a career in marketing line they should have knowledge of english language, ( that means understanding and speaking ). Apart from this, your pronounsation should be clear, your voice should be sufficient and should have expression on your face. You should have the knowledge of two to three regional languages.
ABOUT MENTALITY
Those who want to make the career in marketing, they should physically as well as mentally fit. For this you have to do exercises and yoga so that you will be fresh in mind for a day to get more information from receving sources and to meet a persons of various type.
KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCT / SERVICE
Take full knowledge of product and service in which you are going to sale. You should answer the question asked by the customer regarding the product and service confidently.
If you are marketing for machine, electric equipment then, you should have a technical knowledge of that.
If you are a LIC agent, you should have all information about plans and policies and also benefits which he will get from tax department.
If you are medical representative, then you should give detail information about concern medicine to doctor/ surgeon or chemist.
CUSTOMER'S P'SYCHOLOGY
Third and last point to become a sucessful salesmen is that to know customer's psychology. Which type of customer you are going to target and which product and service which you are giving to customer at that time.
If customer are not in a that mood to take a product or avail service provided by you, that time you have to change customer's psychology by telling advantages.
If you are selling new product tell them about product and make them to buy it. Then and then only you will achieve your target and you will become SUCCESSFUL SALESMAN .
